Renting in South Tottenham

We are new to London and thinking of renting on Southey Road in the N15 area (South Tottenham) with two young children (aged 3). How safe do people find this area for families and children? Many thanks.

  • Hi Dunham123, One of the best things you can do for any area that you want to move to is to check out the latest crime statistics, which can paint a general picture of what it is like there, and you can do this for any region of England and Wales by heading to the website Police.uk. A search for the South Tottenham area shows that the crime rate there has been declining slightly in the last two years. It is above the national average, but this is to be expected in London. In April, there were 313 crimes reported and 325 which were resolved. In total, the crime rate here is higher than similar sized places around the UK, as well as being slightly above that experienced by the Met Police on average. Many thanks, Scott
