  • If you go to the Police website, you can enter the postcode to check the crime levels for an area. Hope that helps.

  • Hi S8feb, You can check the rate of crime for any area in England and Wales by visiting the website police.uk. Simply type in a postcode, and you will be able to see how many crimes have been committed in the area, as well as how this has changed in the last two years, and how it compares to other places. According to the website, there were 175 crimes committed in your area in September of this year, with police focussing on things such as assault, burglary and pick-pocketing. In the second quarter of this year, the crime rate has fallen, the reports show, while it has also fallen considerable over the space of the past year. Overall, the crime rate in the area is lower than other places in the Metropolitan Police jurisdiction, while it is average for areas of a similar size to itself. Many thanks, Scott

  • In addition to the very easy to use police website at http://www.police.uk/ , there is additional data on the UK Crime Stats website http://www.ukcrimestats.com/ The only tip I would offer you is that, in order to get a sense of what the figures really mean and in order not to alarm yourself with statistics, you look at the area that you currently live in by way of a comparison. You will know how safe and crime free your own area is and can judge against this. I hope this helps.
