  • Hi Pabaker, You can check out the latest statistics on the crime rate for any given area by having a look at the website listed below and conducting a quick search for the area in question. If you do this, you will see that in the past two years up until the end of December, the crime rate in the area of Cheam stayed steady. It was also recorded as having been above the national average. Throughout the month of February this year (the most up-to-date statistics available) it was the case that there were 412 incidents of crime recorded and reported there, while there were 47 outcomes reached during the same period (convictions etc). It is also important with this sort of thing to look at how the area compares to others, however. When held up against other regions similar in size, it can be seen that the crime rate was far lower than the average. It was also well below that seen across the Metropolitan Police jurisdiction as a whole. Many thanks, Scott
