Hard for me to say what the area is like as I do not know it. As for so many for sale there are a lot of areas where there seems to be a lot of property on the market for sale.

I would suggest that you look at the local authorities’ website or police.gov to see what the crime statistics etc for this area are. You can also look at the local tourist board website which gives you an up to date overview of the area. I would also visit the area and ask some locals.

I would suggest looking www.upmystreet.com and also www.crimeinmyarea.co.uk where you can find the crimes that took place in that area!

North Stainley village is arranged around the cricket field and village hall. possibly two thirds of the houses are new development over the last 15 years. Speaking as a retired builder I would say that it is one of the best rural developments I have seen.I know that the village has a good community spirit, and I would expect a low crime rate.I would think the reason for the number of sales is a young and upwardly mobile community not wishing to move very far. Perhaps I should say I do not live in the village but have passed though every other day for the last thirty years plus.
