Wirral - which parts are best to move to?

As a retired couple we want to relocate to Wirral but are unsure of which areas area safe and which to avoid. Our first choice is Heswall but we would consider other areas so long as they are safe and quiet. I note there are a lot of really nice properties for sale in Moreton but have no idea what that area's like. Can anybody help with advice please.

  • Heswall Caldy and Meols are prime areas to live and have always been desirable, Moreton is a lesser area, South Wirral is definitely the place to live but property is at a premium. Nice, homely shopping area, quality golf club, great for yachtying, select, quiet area, but crime is everywhere as you know, you will run a risk of burglary is a wealthy area more so. Hope this helps.

  • Don't move to Moreton, I would recommend Hoylake, Westkiby or Heswall. Heswall is the new place to be where property values are on the up and up crime is very low and nice little town. Recommended by T O'Brien
