I used to live in the area - Wandsworth - when I first moved to London and worked there as an au pair. Wandsworth Common is a great place to take children to play outside. It is a huge, green open place with a lovely and safe playground for small children too. Clapham Common is in also walking distance with a gated playground and where children can play and run around. There was also a so called One O'clock Centre on Heathfield Road where carers/parents could take children to play together. It had a secure aoutside area and a playroom inside that offered fun activites for them.
