  • Good question. Yes it can be a good time to sell, as many people take time off around the festive period. Also a lot of people prefer to move in the New Year, so look for a property just before. Best of luck to you.

  • Hi Indy332, December can be a tough month to sell in, largely because the market is quiet with people looking to get ready for the festive period - for many, the desire to move home will become less pressing towards Christmas and New Year. However, it can be a great time to get the ball rolling with regards to selling your home, because January will be one of the busier times of the year once again. This is because there will be a greater number of people who want to change jobs, the area they live in and other aspects of their life. Generally, January will be far far busier for the property market than December, and you will also get a lot more viewings early in the new year. However, it never hurts to get moving as soon as you can, especially with the market currently on the rise. Many thanks, Scott

  • Hi, Although we are a little late in replying to your question however we would always advise if you are thinking of putting your property on the market then you should be committed to the sale and therefore not worry about what time your property is entering the market. We do however see peaks of interest come through around the end of December and through into January. We hope this helps and you are able to sell your home. Best of luck.
