  • The short answer is - "When there are the most amount of buyers actively looking to buy". Traditionally this is Feb through to June and then Sep through to mid Nov.

  • Hi Douglas52, Generally the best times to sell will be the same year after year, but obviously market conditions and financial issues can affect and change this. Early in the year for a short period when people are looking to relocate, get new jobs, and generally make changes for the new year is generally quite a good time to sell. Spring is the next strong period, with more people taking advantage of better weather to get out and view homes. Most people will also look to move before summer as well, what with holidays and stuff coming up. For this reason, summer can obviously be quite a subdued period. Finally, the months in the lead up to Christmas are also good. This is because most like to get any upheaval out of the way before the festivities, so September and October will be the time when there are most buyers about later in the year. Many thanks, Scott
