It very much depends on : 1 - The agent that you decide to use 2 - The availablility of similar properties in your area 3 - How 'saleable' your property is For example, many agents outside of London are currently quoting between 1 and 1.25% as there is a shortage of properties coming to the market.

Of course, you could always advertise on one of the Internet sites, which is what we are going to do. For a set price you get good coverage on several sites plus a for sale board for the front garden.

Most Agents in the area charge between 1.5% and 2.5% be careful though, Cheap fee could be attractive but chances are an agent with a higher fee will be able to expose your property to more potential buyers which could achive you a higher selling price

It depends on the location our postcode says we live in Bognor Regis but in fact we live in Barnham which makes a huge difference when selling it is still 1% tax so make sure you include all your fees in the price and don't back down.
