Can I advertise my house privately even if I still have a sole agency?

  • There is nothing stopping you from advertising your house privately. However, if you have signed a 'sole letting rights' contract, the estate agent in the contract is the only one allowed to sell your home during the period stipulated. And you will have to pay that agent, even if you find your own buyer.

  • Hi, You can sell privately however when you are on a sole agency contract it will stipulate that the only party that are able to sell the property is the estate agent and therefore if you do agree a sale within that period you will be liable for fees of the agent that were agreed.
