Buying and selling a house

Hi took advice from my local agent and put my house on the market before finding a property. my house sold for the asking price with in two days for the asking price. We know what we want and until it comes along we can not move. We told the agent this but obviously the people who want my house keep contacting them for a progress report. the property market seems to have died. if this sale falls through is it best to find a property first and then put ours on the market and is their any sign of the market picking up/

  • Best option would be to rent until what you want comes along. Otherwise you will lose the sale and not be in a position to make a proceedable offer when what you want comes on the market.
