Being available for sale as well as SSTC

My house is SSTC, but the buyers are really dragging their heels. Is it possible to instruct the estate agent to put the house back on the market whilst waiting for the current people to exchange?

  • Hope that you have managed to complete your sale by now. I would not have thought that it is unreasonable to re-market your home if you are unhappy with the progress that is being made. It would be courteous to inform the prospective buyer, of course and, if you agreed to take the property off the market on receipt of the offer, this may cause you a few more concerns. I would have thought that it would be in your agent's interest to advise you on this as presumably the delay is resulting in them not getting any commission. I am finally surprised that the agent hasn't been in regular contact with the buyer and keeping you in the loop. Maybe you have the wrong agent.
