What are extate agent fees?

How much are estate agents fees for selling your house? Are they normally negotiable, what should you expect from them in return?

  • All agents fees vary. You can pay as little as a few hundred pounds upfront with an online and be on all the main sites like Zoopla and Rightmove, so you get maximum exposure and all the marketing you need. Or you can go with a high street agent who will charge a percentage on sale. This fee varies. You should get all the same marketing with any decent a high street agent, if they don't use both main sites, they are not worth their salt! Most enquiries come from Rightmove and Zoopla. A high street agent knows the areas they market, so they can have the edge when it comes to selling, but it isn’t everything. You have far more choice these days with marketing property, you can pay as much or as little as you like.
