  • 83% of property buyers look on Rightmove as the first place to look. Find an agent who advertises on there, but also on the other major sites such as Zoopla, Findaproperty and Primelocation as although most people look on Rightmove, people do have their favourites. Find an agent who takes professional photos, works long hours, has a reputation in the area and who has buyers on their books. And finally, market the property at a sensible price. Best of luck.

  • Thanks, How can I find an aggressive agent with buyers on their books? Currently with an agent but wont put on rightmove or zoopla due to advertising on ASPC?

  • Any agent not advertising on portals is either very cheap or stupid. The facts speak for themselves. I'd suggest putting your own postcode into Zoopla and see which agents come up with the most properties. And with regards to finding one who is aggressive/proactive; try registering on those sites and see which ones contact you the quickest.

  • Yes I'd say portals are the key to selling... We currently operate in the Yorkshire area but if you want to discuss further give me a call and I'll tell you your options...

  • Hi, I have searched for Agents in my area but none are coming up. I have actually bought a new house and the Builder is in charge of selling mine. However, if it doesn't sell then the deal falls through. They have chosen the agent and are paying all bills but they seem very open to any marketing that I suggest. We have already dropped what I thought was a good price...I'm hoping it starts to pick up soon after trades fortnight and people start to return from holidays, etc.
