Sole selling rights estate agents scams.
We signed a sole selling rights agreement we didn't relize this as the agent was skimming through the agreement and failed to tell us this. It was for 16 weeks and after it expires 6 months after they were still entitled to their fees if we sold elsewhere or ourselves. We asked for sole agency agreement said they don't do this but would see if they could get one. We signed a sole agency agreement in office but when we got home we had a multi agency ..this was copied with my signature on it as I signed a sole agency in office. They agreed to write me a letter releasing us from this agreement, it says sorry you have decided to take your property off market, we release you from the contract. Can I now sell myself or with another agent?

You need to get a letter from the agent you were signed into to confirm they will not charge you outside their agreement if you sell by other means.
