Any STC cancellation charges?

I have accepted an offer for my house, no contracts are yet exchanged the property is STC but suddenly I have decided not to sell. Is there any a charge or obligations from my side?

  • You have no obligation to sell until you exchange contracts. You may still have some legal cost's to pay for your solicitor depending on how much work he has done to date

  • Do check the sales agreement you have signed with the applicable estate agent. Whilst most fees are only contractually liable once exchange of contracts has taken place there may be costs to cover- especially if you are terminating the agreement within a minimum contract period. That said these should be minimal.
