  • For anyone wishing to sell their property you will still currently need a HIP in place before you can market, the new Con Dem party have said they will scrap HIps but not when, and i believe it is low on their list of priorities.

  • An order to suspend HIPs has been signed, with the announcement of a suspension due this week as Parliament convenes. According to well-placed sources, the order was signed on Friday morning. It seems that this is a higher priority than we would have first thought. In spite of bad press, a lot of the information in a HIP does help to speed up a sale, so if you are thinking of selling, a HIP won't be a complete waste of money! Hope this was helpful! • Yes Home information packs have now been suspended. However you will still need an EPC in order to market your property.
