Time Limit on Sole Seller Estate Agent Contract
Can you please advise what the effect is of having a time limit on a contract to sell a house with an estate agent? Is there any obligation on either party to renew at the end of the period? My potential estate agent has put 90days in their contract. The have also proposed a "Sole Seller" contract. Is this usual? Many thanks in advance.

This would depend on each agent as their terms will differ.

A sole agency contact has to either be for a specified fixed term OR a subject to a specified period of notice. After the 90 days you are free to dispense with their services, it would be best to confirm in writing to the agent that you wish to dis-instruct them to prevent any misunderstandings.
