What is the criteria for part exchange?

We are considering part exchanging our property in order to move home. Please explain the qualifying criteria. Thanks Steve and Michele

  • It would depend on which company you were dealing with, each would have their own criteria.

  • As a guide there needs to be about a 30% differential between property values. Also most builders won't consider anything more than 30 years old. Each builder have there own exact criteria but these guidelines are a good place to start.

  • Mr Turtle Homes is spot on .. think of it like a part exchange for a car dealer. They wouldn't take a £15k car in exchange for a brand new one at £15k .. there needs to be something in it for him or her. 30% is considered minimum.
