Lease exstension valuation

My 90 year lease extension is £3400 plus £2600 costs. Will I get that back in property value if I sell?

  • £2,600 costs seems rather high, what are those costs? Will a lease extension increase the value of your propery by £6,000? Depends on what the length of the lease was before extension. If it was more that 70 years then it will not add anything. Less than 70 and a potential buyer may have difficulty getting a mortgage. Less than 60 it is probably worth it, though that does depend on what fraction of the property's value that £6,000 represents.
