Can I sell without agent?

I've taken my own pics of my house. Why do I need an expensive Estate Agents to advertise? Can I do this myself?

  • Hi, There is no reason at all to not be able to sell your home in the open market if this is something you would prefer to do, as many people choose to do this every year, so long as they know the regulations and consult a lawyer throughout the process. However, if you want to advertise on Zoopla, you would need to have an estate agent on board, as private sellers are not able to advertise here. If you do intend on carrying out most of the work yourself, you might look at bringing on board an online agent, who will essentially just work as an advertising portal and help you get onto Zoopla. You will still be able to do the rest yourself. Many thanks, Scott

  • Hi, Anyone can sell their own home, however there are a variety of different risks you need to consider when selling privately. We recently blogged about this issue and why it may be best for you to use an estate agent when selling your property. I've attached the blog for you below. Best of luck in the sale of your property.
