Energy Performance Certificates

I understand that EPC's are not required if one is selling a house privately, i.e. by direct discussion/negotiation with a buyer without the property having being placed with an estate agent or even advertised. I would be grateful if you would confirm this. Regards, David Judge

  • That's correct, if no advertising of the home has been done then an EPC is not needed... eg selling to your brother.
