Farm valuation discrepancies
I am selling a farm for my mother, and I have had a specialist estate agent valuation at £625k. Some people we know approached us and asked to buy the property. We agreed to have a second valuation with another specialist estate agent recommended by the other party which we paid for. The second valuation came in at £465, we rejected this valuation and put the farm to auction, we have already had per-auction offers over £625. Can I claim the valuation fee back from the second estate agent as there valuation was hopefully not worth the paper it was written on and not deliberately dishonest?
