Can my brother sell my mothers house before the will is read out?
My brother is the executor of our mothers will, can my brother sell the house before the will is read out? Without my permission, even if half is mine?

Before your brother can sell the property probate will need to be granted so if you are entitled to half of the property you get your far share.

The short answer is no. You can market a property for sale and indeed introduce a buyer, but a property cannot exchange without a valid grant of probate. Speak to the solicitor handling the estate if your are both executors you have equal rights and therefore say.
