Property exchange, will it ever take off..
Property exchange seems a good idea but why are there so few agencies participating?

Most agents with experience and an eye for another way to sell houses run their own property swap or property exchange schemes. Those who dont advertise it I agree are missing an opportunity but will probably still have a behind the scenes list. For me it needs to be advertised to work. We have run a property swap scheme since the mid 1990's. last year (2009) out of 350+ agreed sales between two offices we managed to match 1.......Hundreds of calls but little success, so the effort for many agents will not seem worth it. Also many owners do not like their onward requirements advertising publicly and this has to be done to work! Try our Prop Swap page below we now only have one house willing to advertise what they want.
