What is the average pedestrian traffic like in central Lewes?

Pedestrian traffic.. not bad, the pavements are more then enough, and there is also a pedestriansed High Street.

I love Lewes as it has lots of character - but trying to park before Christmas was a nightmare. Having said that, once parked, it was lovely wandering along the streets down to the pedestrianised centre. But then again, there were street traders selling their wares on the pavements so the space was severely restricted. Pedestrians and traffic do not mix and our planners must ensure that all road users are catered for

Totally fine. I've never found it to be a problem at all. Its a lovely, lovely place.
