Has moving out of London to commute back in been cheaper or more expensive?
I live and work in London and have always imagined moving to to the Southern Home Counties and commuting in. More and more I suspect that properties that are both spacious and convenient are no less expensive in the commuter belt and the cost of rail season tickets effectively cancel out the cash-flow saving in terms of mortgage repayments. Does anyone know of any great commuter secrets in that area or positive experiences that they're happy to share?
