Parking in St Columb Major?

Can anyone tell me what the parking situation is for a car owner in St Columb Major, who does not have allocated parking. Does it exist and what are the charges?

  • The parking situation in St Columb Major is difficult. You can purchase a permit to use the spaces around the town however this does not guarantee you a space, the town is always very clogged up with people just 'popping' to Co-Op and therefore finding a parking space can be extremely difficult. The parking inspectors are hot on the case and will hand out tickets very quickly so it is not worth the risk of parking illegally. There is a free car park at the very far end of town which is a good 10 minute walk from the centre. There is also a car park next to the recreation ground that is free after 6pm however you can buy a permit to park here all year round - contact the council for prices. Hope this helps!
