What does PCM refer to?

I'm looking for a flat to rent. I see that all the prices are in price per week, but I also see a price with pcm next to it. What does pcm mean?

  • PCM stands for Per Calender Month. If you rent a property in areas where agents quote weekly rents (typically in London) you will actually pay the rent monthly which is why there is also a PCM price.

  • If the landlord states a per-week rental then they will expect to receive rent on a weekly basis, not monthly. The per-month figures are provided so that it is easier to compare properties where the quoted rental values are for different periods of time. The converted rental price is indicated by being marked as approximate.
