Huddersfield in West Yorkshire has bagged the top spot for property price increases in Britain so far this year.

Average property values in the market town have climbed by £7,530, or 4.7% since January, according to Zoopla.

In contrast, property values across Britain have crept up by a more modest £3,847, or 1.3% during the last six months. That’s a £21.07 increase in value per day.
