The nine-bedroom home set in three acres of stunning grounds is the epitome of luxury. But potential buyers have been haggling hard.
Jennifer Lopez, the American singer, actress, producer and more, has agreed a deal to sell her Californian estate – for $7m under the original asking price.
What’s the home like?
Lopez might claim she's still, "Jenny from the block”, but there is nothing ordinary about this home.
As you might expect, the mansion is the epitome of glitz and glamour. As well as nine bedrooms, it offers formal and informal reception rooms, a dining room with seating for 12, study, and kitchen with a vast family area.
The master bedroom forms an entirely separate suite, with its own sitting area, bathroom, walk-in wardrobes and private balcony.
But it's the entertainment wing – linked to the main house by a roofed passage – that is the real star of the show. It boasts a 20-seat theatre, recording studio, gym, wood-panelled bar and games room, and staff suite. The three-acre estate includes a swimming pool (naturally), and parking for up to eight gas-guzzling vehicles.
Where is it?
How much is it selling for?
J. Lo originally marketed the property in 2015 for $17m with Sotheby's International Realty. But, just two years later, she's reportedly agreed a sale for $10m, according to US entertainment website Variety.
That's $7m off the original asking price and a relatively modest $1.8m profit on the $8.2m the star paid for the house in early 2010.
Think that's a big discount? Michael Jackson’s Neverland ranch is also on the Californian sale market for nearly £30m less than its original asking price set in 2015.
What is interesting about the area?
Hidden Hills is within LA County, but 20 miles from Los Angeles city itself.
This suburb is something of an A-lister enclave with Kim and Kanye, Justin Bieber, Drake and Miley Cyrus all having called it 'home'.
Here's what else you can get in the area for around $10m…
1. This six-bedroom property in Beverly Hills comes with state-of-the-art appliances, including temperature-controlled glass walls in which bottles of wine can be stored. It comes with a $11.9m asking price through Sotheby's International Realty.
2. This brand new eight-bedroom mansion on the outskirts of the city has all the mod cons inside – and professional landscaping with waterfalls, swimming pool and spa outside. It's on sale for $9.9m via Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.
