avid is married to Kathryn and they have three children Helen, Oliver and Emily. They moved to Brecon in 1982, started their own estate agency business, David James, in 1986 and merged with Adam Dean to form James Dean in 2007. David loves living and working in Brecon. loves selling property, enjoys sport and embarrasses his children with his disco dancing.
Adam Dean FRICSPartner
Adam is the aged one of the firm. Married to Caroline with two grown up children, Richard who lives in Sydney, Australia and Laura who works and lives in the Midlands. A former chairman of Round Table and 41 Club in Llandrindod Wells. Adam was a Partner with Stooke Hill & Co based in Llandrindod and established Dean & MacMahon based in Builth Wells in 1992 before joining David James in partnership in 2007. He is the Surveyor and Energy Performance Assessor for the firm. Adam is a keen but not so good golfer who nevertheless enjoys the walk.
Kathryn is married to David and funnily enough the mother of Helen, Oliver and Emily. She met David when they both worked for estate agents in Abergavenny, comes from a large local family and has ten brothers and sisters. She is a great cook, enjoys singing and can be seen around the town walking their sausage dog.
Gwen BywaterSenior Negotiator
Gwen is a local farmer’s daughter, married to Roger and his motor bike. She has been selling property for twenty three years joining David James straight from school. You can try and work out her age if you dare. She has a great personality, wonderful negotiating skills and a wealth of knowledge. The office is always quieter when she has time off, which is not too often although she has started to enjoy a Mediterranean cruise.
Andrew JonesAssociate Partner
Andrew is married to Katie and lives in Battle near Brecon. He joined James Dean in 2007 and has been responsible for the expansion of the estate agency department in Builth Wells. He studied property at the University of the West of England, in his spare time helps on the family farm and enjoys a takeaway most weekends, although you would never guess from his waistline.
Oliver JamesAssociate Partner
Oliver studied Business in Property and having a good time at Bristol before joining the family firm. He is currently studying to become a member of the RICS. He is a keen sportsman, plays football for Brecon Corries and sounds just like his Dad on the phone, so be careful who you are talking to. He has just purchased his first house which has helped him appreciate our business from our client’s side.
Emily followed her Dad and Brother studying Business in Property at Bristol although worked for an agent in Cardiff before joining the family firm. She is also studying to become a member of the RICS and loves sport, food and music. She has captained Wales hockey at u16 and u18 levels and currently plays for Howardian Ladies in the Welsh Premiership.
Victoria WilliamsLettings Manager
Victoria is our Lettings Manager in the Brecon Office. She has settled in quickly and become an important member of staff. She is a local girl who enjoys socialising and Sennybridge Young Farmers. We all enjoy her tales of the young farmers competitions she enters and our clients love her telephone manner.
Alisa ParkesLettings Manager
Alisa, Lisa with an a, lives in Aberedw and went to Builth Wells High School where she completed her A levels. She has a little Westie called Charlie and enjoys taking him for walks in the countryside around Aberedw although he loves going to the beach. Alisa likes to keep fit and enjoys running.
Caroline is married to a local Builder and has two daughters. She was born in Builth Wells and brought up in Newbridge-on-Wye. She joined Adam Dean then of Dean & MacMahon in 1996 and is now part of the furniture at James • Dean! Caroline is a member of Builth & District Running Club and enjoyed beating David James in the Brecon 3-4-5 series! She also enjoys gardening and cooking, especially baking cakes for Andrew!
