Bordered to the North by Mill Hill and Barnet to the East by Finchley, Hendon is the civic centre of the London Borough of Barnet. The Town Hall at the Burroughs is where the first speech was made by Margret Thatcher after she became Prime Minister.  

Hendon is famous nationwide for being the location of the Metropolitan Police College and the site of the RAF Museum at the Hendon Aerodrome, and is also home of the Middlesex University Campus.

The area has two main shopping centers. Around Hendon Central Station and the main shopping area spread out along Brent Street. While Brent Cross shopping centre is just around the corner.  

Remains of a Roman settlement have been found dating from AD300 and Hendon has been a popular residential area ever since. In 1931 Hendon was the most populated urban district in the United Kingdom.

Hendon has two main train stations, Hendon central which is in Zone 3 on the Northern line and West Hendon Thameslink which is an over ground train running from Luton to Moorgate.  

Ideally situated for those who need easy connection onto the Motorway network, Hendon is at the start of the M1 while the A406 and A1 are close by.
