Property description
We believe this to be the second oldest property in Nazeing. This 17th century 4 double bedroom family home strangely is not listed.
The property oozes character with its beamed rooms and beautiful feature fireplace with exposed brick surround and hearth in the second reception. Every room seems to have its own personality which is what you would expect from a property of this age.
We are informed that the property was once three cottages and this would explain the layout which differs enormously throughout the house. This house lends itself to the growing family or possibly as multi generational family and benefits from having an excellent ground floor bedroom with en suite facility ideal for an elderly relative or pehaps a teenager who would rather be a little more remote from the rest of the house.
The garden leads onto a small brook which runs through the rear garden as a lovely addtion. The size of the rear garden is quite unexpected and offers a great family and entertaining space.
This is a true gem and must be seen to be appreciated.
What the Owner says:When I was looking to buy a character property this ticked all the boxes.
The property is a 17th century and has lots of character. Apparently this was three cottage originally and one belonged to a little old lady who sold bikes in the front garden.
We loved the house with its space and its layout with all the character features that are here, the beams make the property what it is, some rooms have high ceilings some slightly lower, the garden is real joy and sadly is a little large for us now and we are looking for something smaller but within the same area.
