Property description
The original grounds were reduced to some 20 acres many years ago, they have an ornate pond, small lake, roaming lawns, tennis courts and the original chapel. The main building has been used as a hospital and also been used as a woman's prison so it has an interesting history.
Approached by a long formal driveway. The entrance is gated and impressive would be an understatement to the grandeur of the property and its grounds.
This property forms part of the courtyard originally the stable block, the property boasts of a vaulted ceiling to the 25ft lounge. The french doors open on to its own private garden which leads on ultimately to the communal gardens of some 20 acres.
The loft room is a real bonus and is the only property here that has one, it is in addition to good size bedrooms. An ensuite and a second bathroom add to the uniqueness and quality of this property.
The entrance hall is a pleasant experience and the owners use part of this as their office. The light and airy feel of the property starts at the front door and continues throughout the property.
Seeing is believing !
What the Owner says:I purchased my house because I was looking for something quite unique.
Hill Hall is a Grade II Listed group of properties. Mine is a two bedroom house which was originally part of the stable block. I have enjoyed living here and would find it difficult to find a property which will be located in such a fantastic setting as the grounds of Hill Hall are exceptional.
The property with its neighbours forms a courtyard. Uniquely mine has a loft room which would be ideal as an office or perhaps some sort of den. The grounds are fantastic as are the amenities including items such as the tennis courts.
