Property description
The lounge leads into the sun room and is itself the heart of the house with a fantastic fireplace as its main focal point. Being away from both the front and rear gardens, it offers a great deal of peace and quiet so is perfect for lazy winter evenings spent in front of the fire.
Solar panels were added to the property to take care of heating the water and the kitchen was installed in 2006 with solid oak units giving the property a real farmhouse feel. All this gives the new owner peace of mind of very little expense when they move in.
The ensuites to the master and 2nd bedrooms give convenience to larger families and those entertaining and, indeed, the house has been the venue for many social occasions. One recently accommodated 60 people! A real tardis of a home.
The location is noteworthy, being on the edge of the village with post office, pub and general store and for those keen on walking and cycling, the Cuckoo Trail will be hard to beat.
What the Owner says:We looked at another house in this road originally but this one was more light, airy and private. We really love the location as not much traffic comes past but we can still easily get to the day to day essentials.
We put the summer room on in 2001 and we spend most of our time in there as it gets a lot of sun. In fact its so peaceful; we have most of our meals there. Its great when we have people round as we can go from the kitchen to the summer room and through to the lounge so making it really versatile.
The solar panels mean we spend very little on heating the water so the bills are quite low, too.
