I first saw number 45 twenty six years ago, when in the company of my wife, we admired the general position of the cottage and the fact that it was facing almost too the south with a slightly haughty look. On entering the house from the front door we were treated to a wide imposing staircase which I think was the major reason for wanting to live here, we were previously living in the Mall, Bristol and therefore the peace and quiet of the position was also very appealing. I still find the peace of the area and its sunny position its main attributes.
