Property description

Oozing character, this medieval wing is steeped in history…

Built as a medieval hall house & subsequently divided, this property is now an attached property, believed to date back to the 15th Century. The house has seen various extensions. John & Kerry have spent a vast amount of time and effort restoring this property to it’s former glory. Now filled with love, your reaction will not differ from ‘wow’, whichever room you enter. The front door welcomes you into the Eastern wing, a jaw dropping reaction is to be expected. A beautiful room giving you a wonderful first impression.
The kitchen has been designed to entertain, this impressive room has a table & log burner one end and the units and prep area the other. Upstairs spacious bedrooms await. The first floor plays host to a beautiful master bedroom, the en-suite is well laid out with no expense spared on the fittings & the walk in wardrobe rounds the room off nicely. The 2nd bedroom on this floor has the most amazing first impression. The grand fireplace creates a lovely ambiance, with a seated surround, what a way to treat your guests. A further 2 bedrooms are on the top floor, this could be one huge room if needs be. Outside the gardens have been well manicured over time creating a beautiful place to be enjoyed.

The gravel driveway leads to the double garage and car port. This is a must see to appreciate the character, space & tranquil location.

What the Owner says:We came across this property online. We had never owned a Grade II listed house before, we were nervous about the complications and what could be involved, but we have had no problems at all.

When we viewed the house the previous owners informed us they had planning permission for a small bungalow for a family member. Instead this was never built and the English Heritage barn now stands proudly here.

We have brought the property back up to scratch. Our grandchildren are wanting us to spend more time with them, so sadly we are leaving this beautiful house behind.
