Pencoyd Court is an attractive and substantial Grade II Listed country house with origins dating back to the early 17th century. Built of stone with a later Georgian extension and a stucco faade, it retains many fine original features including wall and roof timbers, panel doors, fireplaces, windows and external carved stone door surrounds. The adaptable and spacious layout of this house is ideal for creating a fantastic family home in superb surroundings. The large reception hall creates a light and welcoming area with an elegant Georgian staircase to the first floor. An arched wooden door opens into the beautifully proportioned drawing room with a large sash windowed bay and French doors opening into the conservatory. There are fitted book shelves to two walls and a large wood surround fireplace with brick hearth. The light sitting room has a bay and another sash window with the original shutters. Cornicing and an open fireplace and hearth add to the character of this lovely room. Flagstone floors, beams and an impressive stone fireplace are fabulous features of the dining room. There is a built in cupboards either side of the chimney breast and a door opens out onto the cobbled courtyard. The main kitchen has a tiled floor, exposed beams and a range of fitted cream coloured floor units with granite worktops, Belfast sink, plate rack, integrated dishwasher, island unit with drawers and shelves, and housed in the recess forming part of the old fireplace is a two oven Aga with an electric conventional module to the side. Stripped wainscoting and built in cupboards feature on one of the walls. A door into the rear lobby takes you into the large utility room with tiled floor, Butlers sink and ample space for a washing machine, tumble dryer, fridges and freezers. There is a useful storage room off the lobby and a door out to the garden. The secondary kitchen has exposed beams, a wood surround fireplace with attractive grate, ceramic sink, granite worktop, built in shelving, some hand painted fitted floor units, oven and hob and dishwasher and fridge. There is further room for a dresser and other freestanding furniture. A rear hall gives access to the courtyard, secondary staircase and arched door into the spacious family room. Leading up from the gracious, curving Georgian staircase is the period landing areas with built in cupboards. The adaptable first floor rooms would allow the creation of a fantastic master bedroom suite, subject to permission, with plentiful bathrooms for the remaining bedrooms. Currently, the spacious master bedroom has sash windows and exposed timbers with views out across the front of the property. There are two potentially en-suite bedrooms, an actual en-suite bedroom and a further large bedroom.
