Approximately 28 miles west is the University and Cathedral city of Exeter, which offers a majority of the leading department stores one would expect of a county capital, together with a wide choice of state and private education facilities, hospitals and Exeter International Airport. The market town of Taunton is approximately 18 miles to the north.
Description
The Cider Barn is a quintessential thatched village cottage, with the modern features of a property which was built in 1991. As the name would suggest, the site was once the original cider barn for the village with some of the original stonework and beams still evident. Cleverly mixing character features with modern convenience, the cottage built of stone with timber frame windows, has spacious accommodation.

The cottage gardens are laid mainly to level lawns surrounded by flower and shrub borders, whilst to the rear is an apple tree with a climbing clematis.

Directional note
From Honiton take the A35 heading east towards Axminster and after passing Kilmington take the slip road towards Axminster. After a short distance turn left signposted Membury and Tolcis. Proceed along this lane for approximately 3 miles taking the left turn signposted Membury at Starcross. Continue along this lane down into the village passing the shop and post office on the left and The Cider Barn will be found after a short distance on the right hand side.
