The Hotel stands in its own grounds of 3.820 Acres and is approached from the road via the driveway leading to the main gravelled parking area to the front of the hotel. Secondary parking and a helicopter landing area are also available within the grounds. There are paved and decked areas to the front of the property, with flower-beds planted with box, lavender and annuals. The recently-constructed terrace, to the side, makes excellent use of the outdoor space and offers wonderful views across the gently undulating lawn, pastures, adjacent countryside beyond and the Malvern Hills. From the offices of Hayes, head to the Top Cross and turn left. Proceed through Ledbury, following signs for the A438 towards Hereford. Approximately two and a half miles along the A438, The Hotel is on the right hand side.
The Hotel is a striking Georgian country house, which has been sympathetically refurbished and brought up-to-date with the addition of quality fixtures and fittings which are included in the sale. Although currently operating as a highly regarded hotel and wedding venue endorsed by many accolades there is scope, with relevant permission, to change to an alternative commercial use such as that of a residential care home. It is worth noting that that there are no ongoing contracts or liability. We also understand that the property was used as a private residence up until sixty years ago. The elegant main hall has the reception area and desk off with the original, inlaid staircase leading up to the first and second floors. To the front is a comfortable sitting area and the stylish, glass bar complements the room perfectly. The fully-equipped catering kitchen has an adjacent wash-up area, ancillary stores, office, still room and beer cellar on the ground floor, plus extensive cellarage, including wine-store, general storage and boiler, in the basement. The laundry room is situated on the first floor. There are eight stylishly designed letting rooms, all with contemporary en-suite facilities, Vi-Spring beds, quality linen, tea and coffee making facilities, refrigerators, flat-screen televisions and complimentary toiletries. There are two suites, one used as the honeymoon suite, which have been recently updated and now have an opulent feel, with free-standing baths within the bedrooms. There are a further five double rooms, four currently graded as superior, and a single room. The staff accommodation is situated on the first and second floors of the north wing and consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and additional storage. There is potential to create further letting rooms in this wing of the house and the current vendors have had plans drawn up for prospective purchasers to view.
