The Story
Relaxing on the glass balcony, enjoying the view out over the garden and into the fields beyond, Tim and Amanda reflect on all they have achieved at their home.
The couple were drawn to the Crow Road property for its unique ambience and soon realised they could enhance it further and transform it into a truly wonderful home.
The house has something special about it, which we noticed immediately, said Tim.
Everyone, young and old remarks upon it, in fact, as soon as they step inside - something about it just feels right.
The four-bedroom family house is set in sought-after Wavendon and has now been given a chic, contemporary finish of the highest quality.
We have opened it up and given it a much more modern feel, said Amanda. As soon as we saw it we knew it was unique. Now it is even more special.


Open plan living


The kitchen breakfast room is a great family space, with a breakfast bar for casual meals, as well as a main dining space. It opens into the drawing room on one side and the conservatory on the other.
Having four children, space is important, even more so when they have friends over, which is often as they all love to visit our home.
This area is brilliant when we have friends and family over. It is also a good family home on a day-to-day basis, as everyone can really spread out, Amanda said.
The conservatory has been redecorated and looks great with new blinds. This is now a good adult room for relaxing in.
Doors from the conservatory open up on to the garden, where there is a terrace and lawn. Immediately behind the garden is open countryside.
It is lovely sitting out there in the sunshine, Amanda added.


Balcony scene


The view, however, is even more impressive from upstairs, where the couple have created a sumptuous new master suite.
We had an extra bedroom built to create this area, explained Tim. It has a slate wet room as its en-suite bathroom and instead of a shower we had a waterfall installed.
The stylish space also features a walk-in wardrobe and the glass balcony, which takes in the fabulous views.
We often sit out there by ourselves or with friends. We can have a drink and watch the sun as it sets. It really is wonderful.


Place to escape


Set in Wavendon, but with easy access to Woburn Sands and Milton Keynes, the house is also in a great location for reaching good pubs, restaurants and shops.
Travelling from the property is also straightforward due to the proximity to major roads.
This is a great place to live and a nice place to visit, Amanda added. Everyone wants to come and stay here because it has such a warm atmosphere and such a sense of space.

Accommodation

Ground floor


The entrance hall gives access into the drawing room, kitchen/dining room and cloakroom. The drawing room has a large window overlooking the front, along with a handsome fireplace, wood flooring and an archway through to the open plan kitchen/dining area. The wooden flooring carries on into the dining room area were there is access into the conservatory. The kitchen has tiled flooring and white gloss base cabinets with worktops. There is access to the garden and garage via the utility area. The conservatory boasts fantastic views over the rear and access into the garden. Lastly, the cloakroom is situated underneath the staircase with low level WC and hand wash basin.


First floor accommodation


The master bedroom has doors to a balcony sitting to the rear, built in wardrobes creating a dressing area and a very well finished en-suite with a waterfall open shower, feature wash hand basin and low level WC. The guest bedroom looks over the rear and features two built in double wardrobes and an en-suite with shower cubicle, wash hand basin and low level WC. Bedroom three looks over the front and boasts two built in double wardrobes, while bedroom four again looks out to the front and has a built in wardrobe. Completing this floor is the well presented family bathroom which has a shower cubicle, bathtub, hand wash basin and low level WC.

It's so beneficial that our teenager daughter can have such a private space and the boys love having such large rooms as well.

Setting the Scene
The front of the home is approached via a newly block paved driveway large enough for up to three cars enclosed by a feature wall with the rest mainly laid to lawn. The rear is a real benefit for the boys, they play football for hours out on the grass said Amanda. We love all the storage we have in the sheds said Tim. The home has magnificent views over open countryside to the rear which can be enjoyed from the garden but even more so from the balcony.

Within Easy Reach
Wavendon is a popular village on the outskirts of Milton Keynes, offering a fantastic golf course and a well respected pub/restaurant.

The delightful pubs in Salford including the well respected Swan are a short walk away as well as the pub and restaurants of Aspley Guise.

Woburn Sands high street is approximately one mile away, while junction 13 of the M1 is approximately four miles away. Central Milton Keynes is approximately five miles away.

Directions:
Exit at junction 13 of the M1 towards Bedford/A42/Woburn/Ampthill/A50 and at the roundabout take the fourth exit, then at the next roundabout take the second exit. Make a slight left towards the A421 and continue straight onto the A421. At the A5130, take the first exit onto Newport Road and make a left onto Cranfield Road. Follow the road and take the next left onto Crow Lane. The home will be on the right hand side.
