Appledore with its narrow streets and many fisherman cottages has a number of quaint shops including art galleries, gift shops and restaurants. The village is a thriving community and is also famous for having one of the longest established dry docks in the West Country, namely the 'Richmond Dock'. The village is easily accessible within only a few miles from the nearbytown of Bideford connected via the North Devon link road to Barnstaple and beyond to the M5 Motorway via Junction 27.

Proceed up the hill with a gateway approach to the cottage, on the right hand side, with the no. 9 clearly displayed. Walk through the passageway to no. 11 which is the last cottage on the end.
