Berwick upon Tweed (9 miles) provides a wide range of facilities including schools for all ages, national and independent shops, a hospital and a selection of restaurants.

The A1 trunk road provides easy access to Newcastle and Edinburgh as well as many historic places of interest in and around the surrounding area, along the Heritage Coastline.

Inter-city rail services are available at Berwick, offering direct services to Edinburgh to the north and London Kings Cross to the south. Newcastle airport is the nearest international airport (55 miles).

The Coach House is perfectly positioned for those with an interest in outdoor pursuits - the sandy beaches of Holy Island and Bamburgh are short drive whilst inland, the Cheviot Hills are also nearby. For the golf enthusiast there are a range of links courses including the locally renowned Goswick Golf Club and the famous River Tweed provides challenging and rewarding salmon fishing.
