"...If you would like to live in a quiet back street location; need four bedrooms with two bathrooms and a cloakroom, have a fitted kitchen, small garden and parking then look no further. Two hundred yards from where I am typing this description [75 yards as the crow flies] are these beautifully designed, brand new homes. Built on three storeys they offer manageable accommodation within the town centre where, in general terms, an apartment is the only usual alternative. Thornbury is an historic town which has its roots in the fifteenth century. This is evinced by the beautiful Thornbury Castle [now one of the countries top hotels] which forms the centrepiece of the older corner of town that is, in turn, reached down Castle Street. In twenty first century terms Thornbury is a thriving market town with a vibrant range of shops and restaurants making it almost self sufficient.
