Whether you seek the elegance of a Grade II listed early Victorian property or immediate access to the facilities and culture of Tunbridge Wells, this charming maisonette – arranged over the upper floors – should be of real interest to you.
Whilst a quiet street, York Road links the common to the town and is within half a mile of all the main attractions: The Pantiles, the old High Street, the modern centre and a host of quality restaurants and hotels. The Trinity Arts Centre in the old church is opposite the property. The Assembly Hall Theatre is within a few minutes walk. It’s a property that would be ideally suited to a lover of the arts.
Tunbridge Wells common is on the doorstep too. An oasis of calm of several hundred acres of accessible land in the very middle of the town. It is a few minutes walk from the main line station to London.
This home is a beautiful retreat. It has a host of attractive architectural features and a wonderfully genteel feel. A property worthy of attention.
What the Owner says: When I brought this Grade II listed property in 2002, I did not know Tunbridge Wells at all. I saw a newly refurbished property which was light, attractive and modernised. York Road is a quiet residential street, with a one-way traffic system. I bought this property as it was overlooking the attractive Trinity Church, gardens, greenery and trees. The property is close to the town centre and within walking distance to shops, parks, the common and numerous restaurants. Trinity Arts shows the latest films, holds concerts and plays. The town is a prime location for independent, secondary and preparatory schools. The property is easy to maintain and is extremely warm in the winter by the full central heating system.
