There are several sandy beaches in the local area from large open stretches of golden sand to small hidden coves only accessed on foot. There are historic houses and gardens open to the public, art galleries, craft centres and work shops all within a short drive. Directions

From Bude proceed along Belle Vue and at the top of the hill follow the road down into Golf House Road.  Continue into Flexbury and straight on into Poughill Road where you continue into the village of Poughill.  Proceed straight on through the village until you come to the Cross roads (Inch’s shop).  Here go straight across and after a short distance you will see the entrance to Trevalgas Farm on your right hand side.  Proceed into the complex following the concrete drive, bear right around the swimming pool and continue straight on to the top parking area where Groom Cottage will be found in front of you with the parking space to the left of the cottge.
