Lake is a tiny but picturesque village, close to Barnstaple. Although small, the village boasts a castle, a village hall, as well as an active community. Within half an hour by car, are the safe, sandy, surfing beaches at Saunton, Croyde, Woolacombe and Putsborough. Exmoor is also a similar distance.
