The countryside around Hatherleigh is well known for its riding, walking and sporting facilities, with fishing on the Torridge, and riding and walking on the Tarka trail and Granite way. The Dartmoor National Park offers hundreds of square miles of superb unspoilt scenery whilst there is also easy to the North and South coast of Devon with attractive beaches and delightful coastal scenery.
