Directions

From the south, proceed northwards from Wells along the A39 for approximately 3 miles. Turn left along the Priddy Road towards Priddy. On entering the village continue across the green keeping to the right towards Townsend. Continue up the hill and after approximately ½ mile the property is located on the right hand side indicated by one of our ‘for sale’ boards.

Situation

The Barn is located within the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the outskirts of the charming and unspoilt village of Priddy.  

Within the village there is a range of facilities including two shops, primary school, 17th Century church, village hall, and three public houses. Priddy also plays host to the annual sheep fair dating back to 1348, a spring folk festival and numerous village green fetes. The Cathedral City of Wells offers further facilities and is six miles to the south. The regional centre of Bristol is 18 miles to the north whilst the Heritage City of Bath is 19 miles to the north east. Both offer a wide range of shopping, leisure and educational facilities.

Although the property is located away from main roads, there is easy access to the road network. High speed rail services to London Paddington are available from Bristol and Bath.  Bristol International Airport is 30 minutes (14 miles) away.

Education

There is a wide range of educational establishments at all levels in the area from the public and private sectors.  The property is within the catchment of the highly rated Priddy Primary School and The Blue School, Wells (the free bus stops virtually outside).  There is also a good selection of private schools in the locality including Wells Cathedral School, Downside, Millfield, Sidcot and All Hallows.
